Fundamentals are really important to build a solid foundation in what we do at CrossFit Pyro. There’s so many little details and information in everything from basic squats to muscle ups and olympic lifting to name a few. We can’t possibly fit everything into a 1 hour session within regular classes. This is why we have skills sessions and movement specific classes once in a while but it will never replace the fundamentals. During each fundamental sessions, you’ll have a chance to see a demonstration of each movements, get a technique breakdown, then you’ll get a chance to try it and we go over all the progressions. Also, it gives you a good indication of where you’re at. That being said, as a member of CrossFit Pyro, if you haven’t had fundamentals with us yet, please try to make it to one of the sessions. There are 3 sessions of about 1:30hr and it is included in the membership.
Session 1 is the 9 fundamental movements, session 2 is all gymnastics and session is Olympic lifting. Combine that with our skill sessions and you’re set for a solid start.
